About Edison pearls:

• Edison pearls are giant freshwater pearls but with exotic features, colors, and quality of saltwater pearls (Akoya, Tahitian, or South Sea).

• If an Akoya pearl is formed in approximately 2-3 years, a Tahitian pearl in approximately 3 years, and a South Sea pearl in approximately 4 years, an Edison pearl needs 3-5 years for formation.

• Only one Edison pearl is cultivated in a shell to allow it to grow as much as possible. They are characterized by a remarkable luster and can have extremely vibrant colors ranging from white to pink, gold, metallic, plum, and purple.

• Their size varies but can reach up to 16 mm in diameter (very rare), and their surface is similar to that of Tahitian or South Sea pearls.
