About Edison pearls:

• Edison pearls are a giant species of freshwater pearls, but with the exotic traits, colors, and quality of saltwater pearls (Akoya, Tahitian, or South Sea);

• If an Akoya pearl is created in approximately 2-3 years, a Tahitian pearl in about 3 years, and a South Sea pearl in about 4 years, an Edison pearl takes 3-5 years to form;

• Only one Edison pearl is cultivated in a shell so it can grow as large as possible. They are characterized by their exceptional luster and can have extremely intense colors, ranging from white to pink, gold, metallic, plum, and purple.

• Their size varies, but they can reach up to 16 mm in diameter (very rare), and their surface is similar to that of Tahitian or South Sea pearls.

• The size of the pearl is an important factor when deciding to purchase such jewelry:
